What a great weekend it was for Friends and Fast Cars to gather at Lowes Motor Speedway for the 2008 Fall Food Lion AutoFair. The weather was great. The show cars, colelctor cars and trucks were everywhere. Everyone that visited or brought their car(s) had plenty to see and do.
We spent the weekend displaying our Corvettes along with members from the Generations Corvette Club from the Charlotte, NC area. We had a total of 26 cars for both Saturday and Sunday. It was a great club turnout and the show promoters noticed it as well.
Generations gave out awards on Saturday and Sunday to it’s club members. My 1977 Corvette took home a second place trophy. The Best of Show trophy went to a Beautiful 2001 Red Corvette with lots of motor chrome and accessories. Maybe next time, the classic 1977 vette will bump up the line a bit. It would be awesome to represent Generations Corvette Club and drive thru the Best of the Best Parade. Fingers crossed until next time.
It was cool as always to watch all the car enthusiast checking out the show cars. Several Corvette owners stopped by and asked about becoming members of Generations Corvette Club. If you are in the Charlotte area, please check out the Corvette Video above and recap our weekend.
Enjoy!
